Transform meaningful clothing into something you can wear and keep close. Each custom appliquéd sweater is created using fabric from your loved one’s or baby's clothing, carefully cut into letters and stitched onto a cozy crewneck.
Whether you're preserving baby clothes, creating something from the clothing of someone deeply missed, or simply giving meaningful pieces a new life, each sweater is completely unique.
Clothing Needed
Appliquéd sweaters require a minimum of:

Baby clothing: 2 pieces

Adult clothing: 1 article of clothing
Depending on your chosen word and the size and design of the clothing provided, additional fabric may sometimes be helpful.
The best clothing for appliqué has a repeating or frequent pattern so that the colours and design appear multiple times throughout the letters.
Choosing Your Clothing
Best clothing and fabrics include:
Clothing with printed or embroidered designs, T-shirts, dress shirts, light sweaters, onesies, pajamas, hospital blankets, burp cloths, and items made from cotton, polyester or fleece.
Please avoid:
Knitted or crocheted items, very thick materials such as heavy jackets or denim unless discussed beforehand, delicate or sheer fabrics, and items with excessive beading, sequins or embellishments.
Items where the main design falls directly over a zipper or seam may also be difficult to incorporate.

Choose a word or name of up to 7 letters to be appliquéd onto your sweater using your meaningful clothing.

2. Embroidery Colour
Choose the thread colour used to stitch your appliqué in place. If you don't specify a colour, I'll select one that I feel best complements your clothing and sweater.
3. Sweater Size
Choose your preferred size when ordering.

The Sweater
Your keepsake is created on a Gildan Adult Softstyle Fleece Crew Sweatshirt (Canadian Company), providing a soft, comfortable base for your custom appliqué.
The sweatshirt meets the following Sustainable Style standards:
Sustainable Manufacturing: OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified.
Socially Conscious Manufacturing: Made by a mill partnered with the Fair Labor Association and in a WRAP-certified facility.
Adding a Sweater to Your Memory Bear
Already ordering a custom memory bear? You can add a matching appliquéd sweater at a discounted add-on price.
No additional clothing is required. When enough suitable fabric remains, I'll create your sweater using material left over from your memory bear.
Your bear and sweater will then be shipped back to you together in one package.
This is a beautiful way to create both a keepsake you can display and something meaningful you can wear from the same treasured clothing.
Care Instructions
Your sweater is machine washable.
For the best care of both your sweater and the sentimental fabric:
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, inside out, and hang to dry.
Because your appliqué is made from previously worn clothing, fabrics may naturally change or soften over time. Gentle care will help preserve your keepsake for as long as possible.

Turnaround
Your sweater is typically completed within 2–4 weeks after I receive your clothing.
When ordered as an add-on to a memory bear, your sweater will be completed alongside your bear and both will be returned together.
