Holiday Ornaments

Turn a small piece of meaningful clothing into a keepsake you can bring out and treasure year after year. Each memory ornament is handmade from your loved one’s or baby's clothing and designed to preserve special fabrics, patterns and details in a simple, meaningful way.

Memory ornaments are available as an add-on to another keepsake order, making them a beautiful way to make use of additional fabric from the clothing you've already sent.

Size

Memory ornaments vary in size depending on the amount of usable fabric available and the clothing being used.

Because every ornament is individually created from sentimental clothing, the finished dimensions and appearance may vary slightly.

Clothing Needed

Memory ornaments require approximately 2 pieces of clothing.

When purchased alongside another keepsake, I can use suitable fabric from the clothing you've already provided, so you do not necessarily need to send clothing specifically for your ornament.

If there are particular pieces you'd like used, please let me know when placing your order.

Choosing Your Clothing

Best clothing and fabrics include:
Clothing with printed or embroidered designs, T-shirts, dress shirts, light sweaters, onesies, pajamas, hospital blankets, burp cloths, and items made from cotton, polyester or fleece.

Because ornaments are small, smaller or repeating patterns tend to work especially well.

Please avoid:
Knitted or crocheted items, very thick materials such as heavy jackets or denim unless discussed beforehand, delicate or sheer fabrics, and items with excessive beading, sequins or embellishments.

Items where the main design falls directly over a zipper or seam may also be difficult to incorporate.

If you're unsure whether a particular piece will work, send me a photo and we can discuss it before you send your clothing.

Your Ornament Design

Your ornament will be thoughtfully designed around the usable fabric available from your clothing. I'll select and position the fabric to showcase meaningful colours, patterns and details whenever possible.

If there's a particular piece or detail you'd especially like featured, please let me know. I'll do my best to incorporate it when the size and fabric allow.

Hanging Your Ornament

Each ornament will be finished with either a clear hanger or twine for hanging.

The hanging method will be selected based on the design and overall look of the finished ornament.

Add-On Item

Memory ornaments are an add-on product and must be purchased with another keepsake.

They're a great way to use some of the remaining fabric from your order to create an additional keepsake without needing to send a separate collection of clothing.

Your ornament will be completed alongside your other keepsake and returned to you together.

Pricing

Memory ornaments are priced as an add-on to another keepsake order.

Your final price will be confirmed with your order.

Turnaround

Your ornament will be created alongside your main keepsake order. Typical turnaround is 2–4 weeks after I receive your clothing.

Important Safety Information

Memory ornaments are decorative keepsakes, not toys.

Keep ornaments and their hanging materials out of reach of young children and pets. Inspect your ornament periodically and discontinue use if it becomes damaged.
