Holiday Stockings

Turn meaningful clothing into a one-of-a-kind holiday stocking that can become part of your family's traditions for years to come. Each stocking is thoughtfully handmade using your loved one's or baby's clothing, combining favourite fabrics, patterns and special details into a keepsake you can bring out year after year.

Because every stocking is created from your clothing, no two will ever be exactly alike.

Size

Finished stockings are approximately 18cm x 47 cm (7" × 18.5").

Each stocking is fully lined and finished with a cuff and hanging loop. All seams and raw edges are enclosed for a clean, professionally finished keepsake inside and out.

Because each stocking is handmade using different fabrics and materials, finished dimensions may vary slightly.

Clothing Needed

For baby clothing, I recommend either:

• At least 5 baby clothing items + 1 blanket, or
• At least 8 baby clothing items if no blanket is being provided

For adult clothing, I recommend approximately:

• 7 clothing items

Larger pieces of clothing or fabric may allow me to work with fewer items. If you don't have the recommended amount, please reach out and I'll be happy to look at what you have.

Choosing Your Clothing

Best clothing and fabrics include:
Clothing with printed or embroidered designs, T-shirts, dress shirts, light sweaters, onesies, pajamas, hospital blankets, burp cloths, and items made from cotton, polyester or fleece.

Please avoid:
Knitted or crocheted items, very thick materials such as heavy jackets or denim unless discussed beforehand, delicate or sheer fabrics that may tear easily, and items with excessive beading, sequins or embellishments.

Items where the main design falls directly over a zipper or seam may also be more difficult to incorporate.

If you're unsure whether a particular piece will work, send me a photo and we can discuss it before you send your clothing.

Your Stocking Design

The front of your stocking is created in a patchwork design, allowing multiple pieces of meaningful clothing to be featured together.

Your clothing is also incorporated into the rest of the stocking, with larger, solid sections of your clothing used for the back and inner lining.

If there is a particular print, embroidered detail, logo, piece of clothing or other feature that is especially meaningful to you, please let me know. I'll do my best to showcase it within the finished design on the front of the stocking.

Make It Yours

Custom Cuff Embroidery

A name can be embroidered onto the stocking cuff for an additional cost, making each stocking even more personal.

If you're ordering multiple stockings and would like them to coordinate, please let me know when placing your order.

Pricing

Pricing varies depending on the customization and options selected for your stocking.

Additional charges apply for embroidery and other custom requests. Your final price will be confirmed based on the options you select.

Turnaround

Your stocking is typically completed within 2–4 weeks after I receive your clothing.

If you're ordering for Christmas or another specific occasion, I recommend ordering early to allow enough time for your clothing to reach me, your keepsake to be created, and your completed stocking to make its way home.
